Day 292: There's No Place Like Home

This is a terza rima poem, following a specific rhyme scheme.

There’s No Place Like Home
I used to be glad that I lived at home.
No tearful goodbyes or missed
Holidays, no lonely mind to roam.

I’d have loved ones’ support in the midst
of my stress when homework reaches its pique.
Laughter, movies, and fun would exist.

But when it comes time for finals week,
I envy those who get to stay
At the library where interruptions are bleak.

I’d rather sit and write straight away
At my computer, with earphones plugged in,
No other person to get in my way.

But just when these plans are about to begin
I remember that patience comes from within.
