For my final exam in one literature class, I had to compose eight poems written in forms I had briefly studied. They are old forms from different cultures. I compiled all eight in a mini illustrated booklet. This first one is a haiku, following a specific syllabic form. I was slightly inspired by God's love.
A Contemplation on
the
Power of an Emotion
Tires rub gravel.
Sad, I watch him drive away.
Love says he’ll return.
