Day 67: The Grasshopper

I would not want to visit his house.  It is rather messy.  Piles of dirty clothes are a mile high, but that is nothing compared to his stack of dishes.  Some are even stacked next to the sink.  I'm surprised he still has clean dishes left in his cabinets.  By his favorite recliner, about a dozen empty cans are on the ground, along with empty potato chip bags.  His remotes sit on the armrest of the chair.  There are various to-do lists hung up on the refrigerator with magnets.  His lawn mower is still sitting out on the lawn that he keeps telling himself he'll get to.

He works from home, if you can call it work, that is.  His office is located against the living room wall across from the TV.  He has various odd jobs, since he tends to have difficulties keeping them.  He's a jack-of-all trades, if you will.  His desk is quite cluttered with empty envelopes and flyers that need to be combined with stamps.  Towers of newspapers lean precariously against the desk.  Not ten feet away is his kitchen is the recycle bins.  A few broken watches are nestled inside the desk drawer.  A phone book open to home numbers and a script for phone conversations rest on the desk.  He never does his work at the same hour because he has irregular sleeping habits.  Normally he works when he feels like it, and the length of time he works varies as much as the waves.  Taped over the desk is a hand-written motivational verse, Proverbs 6:6.  I wonder if it's working.

The Prompt: Describe a lazy person, but you can’t use the word lazy.  Describe his surroundings, his eating habits, his work habits, etc.
