Day 68: Fairy Self-Portrayal

The Prompt: Find something on your desk and describe its every detail.

I don't have a desk, so I am going to describe something on my dresser.

A few years ago, I received a craft kit that uses wooden beads, thread, and fake flower petals to create fairies.  After making several, I made a fairy modeled after myself.  It's not very accurate in areas, but I like her.  Black circular eyes with tiny lashes, an oval nose, and wide smile drawn on a wooden bead makes up the fairy's face.  Her hair is reddish brown thread.  There's a knot of hair in the center of the head and cascades down to below the fairy's waist.  Her body is made is a faintly tan wire; the hands and feet are formed from looping the wire.  My fairy self is dressed in a more simple outfit.  Her bodice is wrapped in purple grape thread, wrapped horizontally and criss-crossed at the top.  The skirt has five petals.  The center is aqua green and fades to royal blue (one of my favorite colors) and ends with a purple that matches her top.  I have her sitting down on my dresser above my hairbrush drawer, so I can see her several times each day.
